How far can you run in 24 hours, 12 hours or even 6 hours?
As a solo runner or a pair or a small team of up to 4 runners?
A non stop timed run on our famous, flat, fast and scenic Backyard route in Thetford Forest.
Enter as a Solo Runner, Mixed or same Sex Pair or Same Sex or Mixed Sex team of up tp 4 runners.
Run as many or as few laps as you wish within your time limit of 6, 12 otr 24 hours. (only full laps count)
Trophies for the winner in each category and each race.
Free Camping onsite Saturday Night
The event will be timed.

Timings
Arrive from 8am on Race Day to set up

Entries close 2 weks before the race.
Parking
Please note we will not make parking a purchase item until entries close 2 weeks before the race, this is so we do not have loads of admin with people changing registrations and pulling out of the race prior to that. We will message everyone when payment for parking goes live.
We have negotiated a discount parking fee for the race, £12 if booked in advance per car. We will ask for car bookings 2 weeks before the race and set up a merchandise for paying for each vehicle then. Any cars not paying in advance will be subhect to the sites standard parking charges.
Food/Drink/Checkpoint
We will supply a basic food tent with access to hot and cold drinks and basic food and snacks throughout the race, there are vendors onsite in High Lodge a short walk away for those who wish to buy extra food during opening hours.
Facilities
We will have portable toilets available at the event and there will be additional toilets a short walk away on the High Lodge site.
Route
The route is identical to our Backyard route - a mixture of fire roads and forest trails.
Camping
Each runner may bring a small tent or pairs/teams may bring a gazebo to set up in the camping area for rest between laps or for team mates to wait for their laps.
NO STOVES or FIRES on site at all.
Rubbish/Waste
There are no facilities on the field for rubbish, please take all your own rubbish home and dispose of responsibly.
Power
There is no power on site, please bring powerbanks to run phones or charge devices. We will have charging facilities for runners with no crew to charge devices for them.
Crews
No restrictions on crewsbut obviously 50 people in your entourage may be pushing it!

Entries are limited to 150 Solo, Pairs or Teams in total so one we have reached the max of 150 entries we will close entries. This is because the Forest is very busy in July and we want to grow the event steadily.
Prices - You need to enter all the pair or team info on entry so have your whole teams info ready.
6 hour event
Solo Category - £40 per person
Pair Category - £35 per person
Team Category (Up to 4) - £30 per person
12 hour event
Solo Category - £50 per person
Pair Category - £45 per person
Team Category (Up to 4) - £40 per person
24 Hour event
Solo Category - £70 per person
Pair Category - £65 per person
Team Category (Up to 4) - £60 per person
You must be 18 or more to enter this event, it's not suitable for wheelchairs/buggies but guided runners are welcome and free but not eligible for awards or medals unless they enter as a competitor.
Everyone gets a bespoke wooden medal but if you wish to add a T-Shirt or other items you will add these and pay for them when you enter.
Entries close 2 weeks before the race. You can edit your personal info such as email, medical info and contact numbers etc online up to this date.
You can pay via instalments if you wish to spread the cost as long as there is enough time before the race to set up instalments.
Solo entries can insure the event entry against illness and injury and other unforeseen circumstances, this will add 15% to the cost of the entry but it insures 100% of the entry cost. Claims are made from the link in the info sent to you at entry time. This is managed by a third party insurer and we do not deal with insured refunds.
It's not possible to Insure teams or pairs - These are still no refund places, You can swap Solo/Pair/Team members up to 4 weeks before the race.
There are NO refunds available from Challenge Running under any circumstances if you do not choose to insure the race, below are your options.
Up to 4 weeks before you can transfer to another person, or to another race or to the same race the following year. This can be done on the website and is self managed. There will be a £20 admin fee to transfer your place plus any additional cost if the race you transfer to costs more.

Prizes
There will be a trophies for each solo, pair and team for each race winners. Including Male, Female and Mixed teams or pairs.
All participants will get a bespoke eco wooden medal at the end.
Race Specific Rules
Only one runner on course any anytime from each pair ot team
Runner hand over only in the camp/transition area
No supporters or crew on the course at any time
Only complete laps count within the time limit - so a lap finished in 24 hours and 1 minute would not count.
